Police have made a major drugs breakthrough after stopping a speeding motorist on the Hume Highway, and preventing thousands of dollars worth of drugs from hitting local streets.

The drugs – involving cocaine, cannabis and oxycodone – were allegedly found after a search of the vehicle on Saturday.

The drugs were valued at about 56-thousand dollars.

A 36 year old was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police station – where he was charged with supplying prohibited drugs as well as being in possession.
