Police are still shaking their heads at Canberra motorists who made poor choices to the recent October long weekend.

Officers and various departments are still reviewing the data… and they’re trying to work out, how to stamp out such behaviour in the future.

In one case, a father was allegedly drunk behind the wheel, while speeding with three children in the car.

In another – a motorcyclist allegedly crashed while evading police.

… and a 20 year old was caught driving at nearly twice the speed limit, while on a suspended licence.

The official word is – most Canberrans did the right thing during the long weekend, but too many were caught, under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
