In a shock move, the barrister reviewing a Canberra-Goulburn Archdiocese decision to house ex-priests near to local schools has quit the job.

Fairfax reports barrister Jane Seymour has resigned to begin a role with the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.

Her replacement is another Sydney-based barrister, Juliet Lucy.
