Two teenagers have been refused bail for threatening and attempting to rob a young boy with autism outside the Woolworths in Dickson.

At around 7 o'clock on Sunday night, two boys, aged 16 and 17, allegedly shoved the child against a wall and demanded money, holding a fake gun to his head.

When he refused, they fled and he was left shaken up - police later found the pair at a property in South Canberra.

Both the teens have been remanded in custody to face court again on May 29.
