Trees pulled down and minor flooding in severe thunderstorm

Emergency services worked around the clock last night as the severe thunderstorm gripping the south coast of NSW made it to the ACT.

There were 24 callouts with heavy rain lashing the capital for jobs like overhanging power lines, leaking roofs, trees pulled down and minor flooding.

Canberra, along with Goulburn, Cooma and Yass, received a warning of a severe thunderstorm overnight and the wet weather is expected to continue today.
