Brumbies shot with arrows in Snowy Mountains

Two brumbies have reportedly been shot with arrows near Cooma.

Police in NSW say one of the horses was killed after suffering arrow wounds to the stomach, while a grey colt walked away into the bush after being hit in the shoulder.

A 17 year old male from Holbrook has been charged with two counts of aggravated cruelty and will face the Cooma Children's Court on December 9.

Another teenager from Victoria has been hit with a 500 dollar fine for possessing a bow in a national park.
