Cases of Coronavirus in ACT jumps out to 20

Category: Capital Radio News

The number of people infected with coronavirus in Canberra has jumped to 20, with the latest case a student from Lyneham High.

Officials say the student may have been contagious when they attended classes last Tuesday and the school will be closed today.

Eight of the new COVID-19 cases in the ACT have been linked to overseas travel, with relevant flight details available online at health.act.gov.au.

ACT Chief Health officer Dr Kerryn Coleman says she doesn't believe there have been any cases of community transmission in the territory.
