Alleged Forrest gunman faces court

Category: Capital Radio News

The man accused of shooting a woman in the head as she sat in her car in Forrest last year has pleaded not guilty to 11 charges.

Michael Paul Forrest is accused of firing a rifle into a car parked in Caberra's inner south on November 5, 2019.

The female victim was able to drive herself to Manuka Oval where she received first aid from security guards, as police launched a widespread manhunt for the shooter.

The alleged gunman was arrested in Weston Creek around 3 hours later and has been held in custody ever since.

The case is due to return to court on March 19.
