Another 28 fire fighters from the Canberra region will head to Queensland today, to help fight more than 70 blazes still burning across the state.
The Canberra crew will be sent to Rockhampton and Warwick for five days.
This latest deployment comes after 29 fire fighters from the Queanbeyan region flew north earlier this week to help battle the blazes.
Conditions are expected to ease in Queensland today, before hotter weather increases the fire danger over the weekend.
