ACT fire fighters called to three separate blazes

Category: Capital Radio News

Emergency crews have been kept busy overnight following three separate fires across the capital.

ACT Fire and Rescue were called to Glebe Park Apartments in the city just after 5.30pm, where a unit fire closed a northbound lane on Coranderrk Street, causing significant peak hour traffic delays.

Crews were then called to Pirie Street in Fyshwick where they found a skip bin well alight, with flames impacting a nearby building.

A third blaze then broke out at a woodshed on a Pialligo property, before extending into nearby trees.

As of last night the fire had been controlled, but was still burning.
