Snow set to fall in Canberra later this week

Category: Capital Radio News

Snow could fall in Canberra later this week, as the mercury continues to plummet.

The Bureau of Meteorology says we could see a dusting of white stuff above 800 metres, with the potential for snow on parts of Mount Ainslie, Mount Majura and Black Mountain.

Canberra actually recorded a colder temperature than Thredbo and Perisher this morning, as the mercury dropped to minus 5 degrees.

Icy conditions are expected to continue for the rest of the week.
