ACT government ignores safety concerns

Category: Capital Radio News

Labor and the Greens are being accused of ignoring the concerns of hundreds of parents and teachers in Canberra, who believe young students are at risk on the public bus network.

The Canberra Liberals moved a motion in the Assembly yesterday, calling on Transport Minister Meegan Fitzharris to release detailed data assessing the safety implications of cuts to dedicated school buses.

But the motion was rejected, with the government accusing the opposition of fabricating safety concerns.
