Gun shot allegedly fired at Speed Camera Van

A gun has allegedly been fired at a mobile speed camera detection van in the ACT.

The incident occurred at about 9.40pm on Monday last week, where one bullet struck the sign fixed to the top of the van.

At the time of the incident, the van was parked on the median strip of Canberra Avenue.

CCTV shows a silver station wagon driving past at the time of the incident.

Police say people may not realize speed detection vans always have operators inside.

Police are investigating, anyone with information should contact Police on 131 444.
